Day 9: The Encounter

  • Chapter 1

Transmission Log: Day 8
Commander: At0th3k
Location: Unknown
Status: Alive, Descending

The descent is accelerating, and the pull from the beacon is stronger than ever. I’m now close enough to the surface to make out finer details—what looked like towering spires from above are actually massive, intricate structures, almost like colossal sculptures of unknown design, each one more complex than the last. They pulse in harmony with the beacon, glowing brighter as I get nearer, as if welcoming or warning me.
Then, I saw it—a glimpse of movement among the crystalline structures. It was brief, like a shadow slipping between the glowing spires. I can’t be sure if it was real or a trick of the light, but the feeling of being watched is no longer just a sensation; it’s a certainty. Whatever it is, it’s not hiding anymore. I’m not alone down here.
The atmosphere thickens with each passing second, swirling with vibrant gases and lights that flicker like a living aurora. The rhythmic hum has evolved into a deeper resonance that shakes the ship’s hull, almost like a heartbeat in sync with my own. I can’t shake the sense that I’m not descending by chance—I’m being guided, or maybe tested.
I’ve tried every remaining system to regain control, but the ship remains locked in the beacon’s grasp. There’s no turning back; I’m committed to whatever lies ahead. Whatever moved below, whatever force is drawing me closer, I’m ready to face it. Keep your eyes on these transmissions. The encounter is near, and I intend to uncover what this world has been hiding.
